WEAPONS OFFENSE- KINGMAN
MCSO PRESS RELEASE March 4, 2024
On Thursday (2/29) at approximately 7:17 PM, Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers responded to a business in the 6000 block of E. Minerva Ln. east of Kingman in reference to a subject that was shooting a weapon from a motorhome in the parking lot. Deputies and Troopers surrounded the motorhome and began ordering the occupants out. A short time later a male subject, later identified as Keith Terrence Lamb (58 of Kingman), exited the motorhome, and complied with officers’ directions. Lamb was taken into custody without incident and found to be the only occupant of the motorhome.
The investigation revealed that a driver was parked in the parking lot sitting in the front driver seat of his semi-truck, when an object struck his driver-side windshield. The projectile struck the windshield at eye level, however did not penetrate completely through the windshield. The driver exited the truck and observed a male subject with a rifle leaning out the rear window of the motorhome, parked approximately twenty-five yards in front of him. At this point the driver realized that the subject had shot his windshield. The driver yelled over at Lamb about shooting the truck, at which time Lamb displayed a handgun and threatened him with it.
The driver contacted authorities and moved to a safe area. The rifle and handgun were recovered from the motorhome, where the rifle was found to be a bb-gun and the handgun was found to be a 9mm. Lamb admitted to shooting the windshield, stating that the truck was invading his territory and he was defending himself. Lamb also admitted to a similar incident that had been reported at the same location two days prior. Keith Terrence Lamb was booked into the Mohave County Jail for felony charges of Misconduct Involving Weapons and Criminal Damage
